If you really would like to have a perm but have had bad experiences getting your hair “fried,” tell me everything you can remember from that last experience. I will want to know if you EVER had a good experience. I will want to know if you remember the color of the perm rods that were used when the experience was good.
If you come from a former stylist who colored your hair, it’s great to have her color formula with you. If not, I will have to guess what to use in my line of color to approximate the color on your hair. I can do that, but it's always helpful to have knowledge of what was used on your hair before you came to me.
The rate of hair growth is influenced by such things as age, race, sex, season, nutrition status as well as hormonal status. Hair tends to grow faster during the warm spring and summer months. That said, the average rate of growth is 1/2″ per month. However, I have met people whose hair grows much faster and others with hair that grows so slowly it becomes damaged because it is not renewed quickly enough.
